NOTD: Models Own Slate Green

Oh this is a beauty! I've been lemming Dirty Sexy Money by Misa so I'm thrilled about owning this Models Own polish as it is a pretty close dupe to the Misa. I love this type of colour, dusty and toned down but still bold and colourful.

Models Own Slate Green

This is three coats and application was good. Formula seemed very good but the brush was a bit stiff and the first coat ended up streaky, it was easy to even out with the following coats though. The only real complaint I have really is the smell. All the Models Own polishes I bought have a very strong chemical smell, almost got a headache when I swatched them on a wheel and it wasn't better applying it in 3 coats on all 10 nails. But the colours are really pretty and I'll just have to keep the window open when I use one of them next time

I'm currently wearing DC's" Dont teal my heart away", I wonder how close in color they are? They look like "kissin cousins". :)

Yes! I also blogged a complaint about the smell of Models Own! I know all polishes smell but these smell particularly strongly compared to any other polish I have tried. It almost makes me not want to use it...almost :p

Helt vansinnigt fin färg. Models Own har jag dock inte sett i Sverige, har du Ebay'at den eller bytt till dig?

@Jackie S Don't Teal My Heart Away is on my lemming list, don't own any DC polishes :( But I think it's slightly darker and a tad more blue, from comparing my nails to pictures. It looks different enough to justify buying it and owning both anyway!

@Schmut Jag köpte dem direkt från deras hemsida www.modelsownit.com, de hade nån drive med halva priset, även på frakten, så jag passade på :)

On 31 December 1999 President Yeltsin resigned, handing the post to the recently appointed Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, who then won the 2000 presidential election. Putin suppressed the Chechen insurgency, although sporadic violence still occurs throughout the Northern Caucasus. High oil prices and initially weak currency followed by increasing domestic demand, consumption and investments has helped the economy grow for nine straight years, improving the standard of living and increasing Russia's influence on the world stage.[81] While many reforms made during the Putin presidency have been generally criticized by Western nations as un-democratic,[82] Putin's leadership over the return of order, stability, and progress has won him widespread popularity in Russia.

The use of the term "Europe" has developed gradually throughout history.[6][7] In antiquity, the Greek historian Herodotus mentioned that the world had been divided by unknown persons into the three continents of Europe, Asia, and Libya (Africa), with the Nile and the River Phasis forming their boundaries—though he also states that some considered the River Don, rather than the Phasis, as the boundary between Europe and Asia.[8] Europe's eastern frontier was defined in the 1st century by geographer Strabo at the River Don[9] Flavius and the Book of Jubilees described the continents as the lands given by Noah to his three sons; Europe was defined as stretching from the Pillars of Hercules at the Strait of Gibraltar, separating it from Africa, to the Don, separating it from Asia.

The planet was known by astronomers of ancient times and was associated with the mythology and religious beliefs of many cultures. The Romans named the planet after the Roman god Jupiter.[14] When viewed from Earth, Jupiter can reach an apparent magnitude of −2.94, making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky after the Moon and Venus. (Mars can briefly match Jupiter's brightness at certain points in its orbit.)

Jupiter is usually the fourth brightest object in the sky (after the Sun, the Moon and Venus);[45] at times Mars appears brighter than Jupiter. Depending on Jupiter's position with respect to the Earth, it can vary in visual magnitude from as bright as −2.9 at opposition down to −1.6 during conjunction with the Sun. The angular diameter of Jupiter likewise varies from 50.1 to 29.8 arc seconds.[5] Favorable oppositions occur when Jupiter is passing through perihelion, an event that occurs once per orbit. As Jupiter approaches perihelion in March 2011, there was a favorable opposition in September 2010.

Besides tobacco, many vegetables and flowers are grown in greenhouses in late winter and early spring, and then transplanted outside as the weather warms. Started plants are usually available for gardeners in farmers' markets at transplanting time. Special greenhouse varieties of certain crops such as tomatoes are generally used for commercial production.

he observer there is a careful, reliable man and there is no reason to doubt that the light existed. It was given as from a well-known geographical point on Mars. That was all. Now the story has gone the world over. In Europe it is stated that I have been in communication with Mars, and all sorts of exaggerations have spring up. Whatever the light was, we have no means of knowing. Whether it had intelligence or not, no one can say. It is absolutely inexplicable.
